University Press Week runs from November 9 to 15, and the theme chosen by the Association of University Presses this year is Raise UP. This theme was chosen to emphasize the role that academic publishers play in elevating authors, subjects, and whole disciplines that bring new perspectives, ideas, and voices to readers around the globe.
In keeping with the ideals of UP Week, the member presses of the AUPresses submitted entries for a Raise UP Reading List, which is shown in full, below. As you can see, the reading list includes new books about climate change, racial justice, voting rights, and other timely subjects, as well as presses non-book efforts such as podcast series, virtual events, and press own subject-specific reading list.
