Police have taped off a row of shops in Ellesmere Port this morning.
Emergency services have descended on Whitby Road leading up to the junction of Vale Road, in what appears to be an incident involving an unstable building.
Photos taken at the scene show the chimney above the locksmiths in a state of semi-collapse.
Motorists and pedestrians are being turned away from the area, with no entry in or around the street.
