Naomi Cooper Impressionist African American Artist Launches

Lawrenceville, GA – 9/15/2020 – Naomi Cooper is a contemporary, African-American impressionistic artist. She paints modern, colorful, impressionistic paintings which are her visions of the world.

Naomi Cooper lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  She was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, the hometown of Bob Ross, founder of the “Joy of Painting”,

Naomi Cooper evolved  her love of art throughout her lifetime but developed her skill after a life altering event which left her with limited mobility and in constant pain.  Instead of sinking into despair and depression, Naomi Cooper followed the path of one of her artistic inspirations the ” and taught herself to paint.  Although she has developed a distinctive personal style, she incorporates the styles of John Singer Sargeant, Edouard Manet, Berthe Morisot, and Lila Cabot Perry in her own work.

Mostly confined to home, Naomi Cooper paints of the visions in her heart and soul.  Her paintings are colorful and passionate expressing her vibrant spirit.  Her works range from paintings of nature; landscapes, seascapes, florals and animals to portraits and abstracts. Her love of majestic spaces and the beauty of nature are expressed in her picturesque landscapes and still life paintings often using contrasting and harmonious color.

Naomi Cooper’s education, a BS in Business Management and Public Administration and Masters in Information Systems, and work experiences, largely in Public service, private sector and entrepreneurial fields have provided an eclectic background of experiences for her to draw on.  Naomi Cooper was a featured artist at the Aurora Theatre , Lawrenceville, GA in July, 2019.  She counts as mentors, two outstanding female artists, Donna M. Richardson and Gwen Fields.




Naomi Cooper’s artworks have been added to the collections of Commissioner Homer Hartage,. Realtor Michele Tatum, Linda Jones, and Danielle Morales of Orlando, Florida, Rachel Crowe of Lawrenceville, GA and Sharita McKay of Kingston, Jamaica.
