Demi Lovato Reportedly Didn’t Think Max Ehrich Had “Good Intentions” – HarpersBAZAAR.com

Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich’s whirlwind engagement has come to an end. Reportedly, trust issues between the couple expedited their split.
According to People, trouble started when the two returned to work after quarantine and Ehrich traveled across the country. Before the couple’s initial engagement, both Lovato and Ehrich were spending every day together at Lovato’s Los Angeles home due to California’s stay-at-home order.
“Demi and Max were basically together 24/7 for months,” a source told People. “They lived in a bubble with zero stress, and everything was just fun. Now they are both working and are on separate coasts.”

Per E! News, a source said that Lovato began to have second thoughts about Ehrich’s intentions regarding their relationship and eventual marriage.
“There has been a lot of tension and Demi left him to get a clear head. She didn’t know who Max truly was and didn’t think he had good intentions,” the source said. “There were many red flags she was ignoring and trying to turn a blind eye to.”
A second E! source said, “She doesn’t trust him and thinks he’s sketchy,” adding that they believe Ehrich proposed so early within the relationship “to get attention.”
Regardless of Ehrich’s motives, Lovato was thoroughly in love with the soap actor and is reportedly devastated about breaking off the engagement.
“[She] really loved him and wanted it to work,” E!’s first source said. “Demi is really upset and distraught about it.”
