The drama follows an audio-loving high schooler (Keean Johnson) who is devastated to learn that he needs brain surgery that will cause him to lose hearing. Because of this, he decides to go on a road trip to record and collect his favorite sounds with a little help from a charming New York City-destined musician (Madeline Brewer) he meets along the way.
Does the plot lean into the implausible? Yup. But is it just what were just in the mood for sometimes? Of course.
