YouTube Introduces the #YouTubeBlack Voices Class of 2021

YouTube Tuesday revealed the #YouTubeBlack Voices Class of 2021, a group of 132 creators worldwide, including 48 in the U.S., that were chosen to take part in the Google-owned video sites grant program, providing them with resources to succeed on the platform.The #YouTube Black Voices Fund was created last June as a global, multiyear commitment to uplift and grow Black creators on the platform, as well as to produce and acquire new YouTube Originals focused on racial injustice and the Black experience.
Vice president of responsibility Malik Ducard said in a blog post Tuesday, Today, we are shining a spotlight on the #YouTubeBlack Voices Class of 2021a group of 132 creators and artists whose talents are as diverse as their hometowns. Hailing from the U.S., Kenya, the U.K., Brazil, Australia, South Africa and Nigeria, this incredible group includes musicians, beauty entrepreneurs, comedians, activists, poets, personal trainers, teachers, parents, photographers and more. We are honored that they have chosen to partner with us as the inaugural class of the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund.
In the coming months, these artists and creators will receive dedicated partner support from YouTube and seed funding invested into the development of their channels. They will also participate in bespoke training, workshops and networking programs.
