Alice Lake park closed as crews search for man believed to have drowned – Global News

Alice Lake Provincial Park was closed Sunday, as police and first responders searched for a man believed to have drowned after falling from a paddleboard.
Squamish RCMP says the man fell into the lake around 9 a.m., and failed to resurface.

Mounties, along with firefighters, paramedics and Squamish Search and Rescue all deployed to the park but have not been able to locate the man.
The RCMP’s dive team has also been called out.
We are utilizing all the resources we have available to find this man and bring him back to and support his family and friends, Cpl. Angela Kermer said in a media release.

The Squamish RCMP has also deployed its victim services team to support the man’s friends and family as well as witnesses.
