3 business owners create Sora, offering specialized sushi box via ghost kitchen in Cleveland – cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio A trio of business owners have joined forces to create Sora, billed as an upscale sushi ghost kitchen.
Sora launching today, Monday, Aug. 9 – is available for takeout and delivery throughout Cleveland. Its Sora Sushi Box includes spicy tuna crispy rice, sushi, nigiri and edamame. It comes with labels and sauces designed to elevate the takeout experience.
Nigiri is thinly sliced raw fish with salty and sticky rice with vinegar. Edamame are soybeans in the pod, boiled or steamed, and a healthy snack.
The partners behind the venture are Fabio Salerno (chef-owner of Lago East Bank and Sora), Kevin Wang (chef-owner of Akatsuki LLC, an Asian-fusion restaurant in Columbus), and Kumar Arora (CEO, Arora Ventures).
Since October, Sora has hosted four pop-up events at Lago East Bank, featuring a menu by Wang.
During a time of uncertainty in the restaurant industry, ghost kitchens provide effective solutions for both restaurants and the community, Arora said in a release. Our commitment to our city has truly propelled this idea from pop up events to a full-fledged ghost kitchen and we are confident that this concept will only set a precedent for food delivery and elevate the quality of what can be done with takeout locally.
The sushi box will be available via DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. Takeout orders can be placed at eatatsora.com or by calling 216-294-1800.
Pickup location is at the former Bold Food and Drink, 1121 W. 10th St., Cleveland, 4-10 p.m. daily.
